ISLAMABAD, Aug 24 (APP):The National Productivity Organization (NPO) will organize a webinar on “Sustainable Buildings” on August 27, to raise awareness about environmentally responsible construction practices and promote energy-efficient and resource-conscious building design.
The session will focus on sustainable building principles, the environmental impacts of conventional construction, smart growth, energy-efficient systems, renewable energy integration, water conservation and material selection, according to an NPO document.
The session will provide information on the foundations and principles of sustainable buildings, energy and building systems, materials and resources, and applicable standards.
Sustainable buildings consider the entire life cycle of a structure—from design and construction to operation, maintenance and eventual demolition or reuse. Such practices can help minimize environmental impacts, improve resource efficiency and create healthier spaces for occupants.
