Meat exports grew 6.40% in first half of FY2025-26

ISLAMABAD, Jan 26 (APP):Meat and meat preparations exports from the country during fist half of the current financial year grew by 6.40 percent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-December 2025 over  59,918 metric tons of meat and meat products valued at $264.755 million were exported as compared to the exports of 58,608 metric tons worth $248.859 million of the same period of the last year, according the date of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, country earned $218.459 million by exporting about 94,978 metric tons of fish and fish products during first six months of the current financial year as compared to the exports of $201.996 million by 94,746 metric tons of fish and fish products, it added.
The fish and fish preparations exports from the country during the period under review grew by 8.15 percent in first two quarters of the current financial year as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year, the data reveled.
During the period under review, 322,221 metric tons of fruits valued at $185.103 million and 267,044 metric tons of vegetables $82.703 million were also exported from the country as against the exports of 308,667 metric tons and 395,048 metric tons respectively worth of $169.084 million and $130.859 million of the same period of the last year, it added.
The exports of food group during the first six months of current financial year  were recorded at $2.364 billion as compared to the exports of $3.959 billion of the same period of the last year.
