ISLAMABAD, Sep 14 (APP):Chairman Pakistan Hitech Hybrid Seed Association (PHHSA), Shahzad Ali Malik, on Thursday expressed, confidence that Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar’s timely intervention in resolving the issue of uninterrupted supply of power and gas would positively benefit Pakistan’s economy.
Talking to a delegation of industrialists, he said the business community has now, in the prevailing scenario, pinned high hopes on the Prime Minister and has the utmost faith in his leadership and commitment to steering the country out of an economic quagmire, ultimately leading to the welfare of the people.
Shahzad Ali realized that the government is fully committed to addressing these challenges and ensuring the prosperity of the country, said a news release issued here.
He urged the government to ensure uninterrupted power and gas supply for sustainable economic growth and meet export targets on time.
Chairman PHHSA recommended developing a comprehensive energy policy that ensures the equitable distribution of resources among industries.
The chairman said the government must encourage investment in alternative energy sources to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. By focusing on these critical areas, he believes we could secure a more stable and sustainable future for our industries, which would, in turn, lead to increased job opportunities and a stronger economy.
Shahzad Ali Malik said the industrial sector plays a pivotal role in driving economic growth, creating job opportunities, and contributing significantly to national GDP.
However, the persistent issue of frequent disruptions has been a formidable obstacle for businesses across the country, causing severe financial losses and hampering their ability to remain competitive in the global market, he added.
