KPRA, KP-BOIT discuss integration of services with Aasan Karobar Portal

PESHAWAR, Apr 08 (APP): A team of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BOIT) visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority – KPRA to discuss integration of KPRA services with the Aasan Karobar Portal.
The meeting was chaired by Director General KPRA, Ms. Irum Naz, who welcomed the delegation and appreciated the initiative aimed at facilitating ease of doing business in the province.
During the meeting, the KP-BOIT team gave a detailed briefing on the Aasan Karobar Portal and sought KPRA’s cooperation for integration of its services through APIs. The initiative is intended to streamline business-related processes and provide a unified digital platform for stakeholders.
The DG KPRA assured full support for the initiative and directed the relevant teams to extend maximum cooperation. She also arranged a comprehensive briefing for the visiting delegation on KPRA’s operational framework, covering the complete process from business registration to tax payment and return filing.
The participants were informed that, unlike other service delivery departments, KPRA functions primarily as a regulatory authority. Its core mandate is to ensure that all businesses in the services sector are duly registered and compliant with the payment of sales tax on services in the province.
It was agreed that a follow-up meeting will be held between KPRA and the Aasan Karobar Portal team. In the next session, KPRA’s IT team will provide a detailed technical briefing on system functionalities and the processes involved in tax administration.
The visiting delegation thanked the DG KPRA and her team for the informative and interactive session.
