HONG KONG, Aug 10, (APP/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks and Shanghai stocks opened flat on Wednesday despite gains on Wall Street and in Europe. The Hang Seng Index was up just 0.08 percent, or 19.06 points, at 22,484.67.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.07 percent, or 2.21 points, to 3,023.47, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, slipped 0.03 percent, or 0.55 points, to 1,982.11.
