Gold prices surge by Rs 7,250 per tola

ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP):The prices of gold registered a significant increase in the local market on Friday, with 24 karat gold per tola rising by Rs 7,250 to settle at Rs 439,966 compared to Rs 432,716 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 6,525 to Rs 375,947 from Rs 369,422 whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went up by Rs 5,925 to Rs 344,923 against Rs 338,998.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $72.50 to $4,175.30 per ounce from $4,102.80.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola rose by Rs 190 to Rs 7,079 from Rs 6,889, while the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs 171 to Rs 6,028 from Rs 5,857.
The price of silver in the international market also increased by $1.90 to $66.00 per ounce from $64.10.
