Gold prices rise sharply to Rs 429,862 per tola

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP):The gold and silver rates witnessed a significant increase on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold tola rising by Rs 7,400 to Rs 429,862, up from Rs 422,462 the previous day, the All Pakistan Sarafa-Gems and Jewellers Association reported.
Similarly, 10-gram 24-karat gold increased by Rs 6,337 to Rs 368,530, while 10-gram 22-karat gold rose by Rs 5,551 to Rs 337,573. The international gold price moved up by $74 to reach $4,075 per ounce.
Silver rates also recorded an upward trend, with the 24-karat tola increasing by Rs 115 to Rs 5,209, and 10-gram silver rising by Rs 98 to Rs 4,465. International silver gained $1.15 to settle at $49.47 per ounce.
The gold rate is based on 24-karat purity at 999 standard, the association added.
