Gold prices witnessed a sharp increase in the local market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs11,300 to settle at Rs449,236, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Gold prices jump by Rs11,300 per tola

ISLAMABAD, Aug 6 (APP):Gold prices witnessed a sharp increase in the local market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs11,300 to settle at Rs449,236, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs9,688 to Rs385,147, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed by Rs8,881 to Rs353,064.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by US$113 to US$4,268 per ounce, the association reported.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded an upward trend in the local market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs35 to Rs6,659, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs30 to Rs5,709.
The price of silver in the international market also increased by US$0.35 to US$61.80 per ounce, the association added.
