The prices of gold witnessed a sharp decline in the local market on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola falling by Rs3,100 to close at Rs434,436, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (APP):The prices of gold witnessed a sharp decline in the local market on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola falling by Rs3,100 to close at Rs434,436, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs2,658 to settle at Rs372,458, whereas the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also dipped by Rs2,436, closing at Rs341,432.
In the international market, the bullion price showed a downward trend, decreasing by $31 to reach $4,119 per ounce, the association reported.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola in the domestic market dropped by Rs100 to stand at Rs6,488, while the price of 10 grams of silver went down by Rs86 to close at Rs5,562.
The price of silver in the international market also recorded a decrease, falling by $1.00 to settle at $60.10 per ounce, the association added.
