Gold price rises Rs4,200 per tola
ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (APP):The price of gold in the country witnessed an upward trend on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs4,200 per tola to Rs463,936, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold of 10 grams increased by Rs3,601 to Rs397,750, while the price of 22-karat gold of 10 grams rose by Rs3,301 to Rs364,617.
In the international market, gold was quoted at $4,415 per ounce, showing an increase of $42. Meanwhile, the price of silver also witnessed an increase, with 24-karat silver rising by Rs146 per tola to Rs7,111.
The price of 24-karat silver for 10 grams increased by Rs125 to Rs6,096, while international silver was quoted at $66.32 per ounce, up by $1.46.
The gold rates were based on interbank exchange rates, with purity set at 999.1 for 24-karat gold, the association said.
