Wuhan, Nov 18 (APP):A delegation of 21 political spokespersons and communicators representing ruling and major opposition parties from Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and other regions concluded a dynamic day in Wuhan with an in-depth visit to the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in Optics Valley.
The group, invited by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC) for an extended multi-city study program, explored one of China’s newest and most advanced hubs for humanoid robotics development. Established in June 2025, the 7,000-square-meter facility operates as a full-chain innovation platform, integrating research and development, testing, and real-world application scenarios for next-generation embodied intelligence, said a release issued by the Ministry of Commerce here on Tuesday.
Delegates witnessed live demonstrations of multiple domestically developed humanoid robots, including high-payload industrial models, agile bipedal robots capable of running and jumping, and service-oriented systems designed for healthcare, tourism, and emergency response.
Experts briefed the delegation on Hubei’s rapidly expanding robotics ecosystem—now comprising more than 80 core enterprises—and the province’s ambitious three-year action plan, supported by a 10-billion-yuan investment fund.
The visit underscored how China is leveraging its strengths in supply-chain integration and artificial intelligence to advance leadership in embodied intelligence, with practical deployments already emerging across factories, hospitals, and public service sectors.
Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Commerce and senior PML-N spokesperson leading the delegation, described the immersive experience as “a glimpse into the future of intelligent manufacturing and human-robot collaboration—innovations that will reshape economies and create new opportunities for global South cooperation.”
The robotics showcase is part of the delegation’s broader exposure to China’s high-tech development model and ecological civilization initiatives.
