ISLAMABAD, Nov 28 (APP):The exports of fresh fruits from the country during the first four months of current financial year increased by 11.78 per cent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-October 2025, over 202,825 metric tons of fruits worth of $130.894 million were exported as compared to the exports of 191,811 metric tons valuing $116.650 million of the same period of the last year, according to the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, country earned $53.693 million by exporting over 182,293 metric tons of vegetables, which were recorded at 285,892 metric tons and valued at $91.22 million of the same period of the last year.
However, the exports of the vegetables went down by 41.08 per cent in first four months of the current financial year as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-October 2025, about 57,017 metric tons of fish and fish preparations valued at $130.976 million were exported as compared to the exports of 54.119 metric tons worth of $116.114 million of the same period of the last year.
The exports of fish and fish preparations grew by 12.80 per cent during the period under review as compared to the exports of the same period of the last year.
On the other hand, 37,776 metric tons of meat and meat preparations valued at $170.209 million were also exported as compared to the exports of 37,299 metric tons as against the exports of $160.135 million of the same period of last year.
It is worth mentioning here that country’s merchandise exports reached to $10.448 billion during the first four months (July–October) of the current fiscal year (2025–26).
On a month-on-month basis, the exports from the country increased by 14.01 percent when compared to $2.499 billion during September 2025. The imports grew by 3.57 percent compared to $5.848 billion in September 2025, PBS reported.
