ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Over 322,221 metric ton of fresh fruits valued at $185.503 million were exported during the first half of current financial year as compared to the exports of 308,667 metric tons worth of $169.084 million of the corresponding period of the last year.
The exports of fresh fruits from the country during the period from July to December 2025 witnessed about a 9.17 percent increase as compared to the exports of the same period of the last year, according to the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, meat and meat preparations exports from the country during fist two quarters of the current financial year also grew by 6.40 percent as compared to the exports of the same period of the last year about 59,918 metric tons of meat and meat products valued at $264.755 million were exported as compared to the exports of 58,608 metric tons worth $248.859 million of the same period of the last year.
The country earned $218.459 million by exporting about 94,978 metric tons of fish and fish products during first six months of the current financial year, as compared to the exports of $201.996 million by 94,746 metric tons of fish and fish products, it added.
The fish and fish preparations exports from the country during the period under review also grew by 8.15 percent in the first two quarters of the current financial year as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year, the data revealed.
During the period under review, 267,044 metric tons of vegetables $82.703 million, were also exported from the country, as against the exports of 395,048 metric tons worth of $130.859 million of the same period of the last year, it added.
The exports of the food group during the first six months of the current financial year were recorded at $2.364 billion, as compared to the exports of $3.959 billion of the same period of the last year.
