The export of footwear from the country witnessed an increase of 3.02 percent during the first ten months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the exports of the corresponding months of last year.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 3 (APP):The export of footwear from the country witnessed an increase of 3.02 percent during the first ten months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the exports of the corresponding months of last year.
The country exported footwear worth US$ 152.909 million during July-April 2025-26 as opposed to the export of US$ 148.432 million during July-April 2024-25, according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Among the footwear products, the exports of leather footwear witnessed a nominal decline of 2.35 percent, from US$ 115.261 million to US$ 112.552 million during the months under review.
The exports of canvas footwear also decreased by 42.30 percent by going down from US$ 2.062 million last year to US$ 1.190 million, the PBS data revealed.
However, the exports of all other footwear rose by 25.90 percent to US$ 39.168 million from US$ 31.109 million in the same months last year.
Meanwhile, year-on-year basis, the footwear exports increased by 12.99 percent during the month of April 2026 as compared to the same month of last year.
The footwear exports during April 2026 were recorded at $10.336 million against the export of $9.148 million in April 2025.
During the period under review, the export of leather and canvas footwear appreciated by 2.73 and 422.60 percent, respectively. In addition, export of all other footwear export also surged by 46.82 percent.
On a month-on-month basis, the exports of footwear commodities went down by 4.48 percent during April 2026 as compared to the exports of $10.821 million in March 2026, the PBS data revealed.
On a month-on-month basis, the exports of leather and canvas footwear decreased by 13.87 and 20.68 percent. However, the export of all other footwear increased by 33.45 percent.
