Finance Minister addresses inauguration of Saifee Hospital Cardiac Wing, underscores investment in healthcare
ISLAMABAD, Aug 29 (APP): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Saturday highlighted the important role of private institutions in expanding quality healthcare access and reducing pressure on the public healthcare system.
The Finance Minister along with Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah attended the inauguration of the Cardiac Wing of Saifee Hospital at the Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah University Auditorium, North Nazimabad, Karachi, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance.
The Finance Minister appreciated the establishment of the new cardiac facility, describing it as an important step towards ensuring timely, world-class cardiac care close to home.
He highlighted the state-of-the-art catheterization labs and advanced diagnostic and interventional capacity of the facility, noting that it reflects the standard of care that the people of Karachi deserve.
Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized that a hospital is more than its buildings and equipment, and that the expertise, dedication and compassion of doctors, nurses and support staff ultimately determine the difference a facility makes to the people it serves.
He appreciated the efforts of the community and all those who contributed to bringing the initiative to fruition.
He said that partnerships combining community initiatives and world-class medical expertise represent an important model for Pakistan’s healthcare sector.
Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb also appreciated the longstanding tradition of community service of the Bohra community and acknowledged its significant role in social welfare and public service initiatives for the people of Pakistan.
He commended the community’s continued efforts towards improving access to healthcare and contributing to the wellbeing of society.
He further emphasized that healthcare should not be viewed merely as a social expenditure, but as an investment in Pakistan’s most valuable national asset — its people.
He noted that a healthy population contributes to greater productivity, stronger human capital and enhanced economic resilience.
