FAISALABAD, Mar 03 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has established a Pre-Departure Immigration Facilitation and Guidance Desk and Risk Analysis Unit in Faisalabad Zone to prevent human smuggling and provide comprehensive assistance to outbound passengers.
FIA officials said that the new desk has been set up to ensure complete guidance and necessary facilitation for the people intending to travel abroad before their departure. The travelers can visit the zonal office in person or contact the helpline number to obtain essential information regarding required travel documents, legal formalities and other mandatory requirements to avoid inconvenience during their journey.
The officials further said that lack of awareness about documentation and legal obligations often leads to complications for the passengers at airports and foreign destinations.
This initiative would help educate the people about lawful travel procedures and safeguard them from falling victim to fraudulent agents and illegal networks.
They further informed that a Risk Analysis Unit has also been established at the zonal office to analyze passenger data, identify suspicious and illegal travel trends in addition to examine the modus operandi adopted by human smugglers. This unit would also share timely information with relevant departments to enable prompt action against organized smuggling networks.
These proactive measures are part of a broader strategy to facilitate safe and legal overseas travel for Pakistanis while ensuring effective prevention of human smuggling and related crimes, the officials added.
