Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has directed the officers and staff concerned to provide immediate relief to applicants regarding issues pertaining to Katchi Abadis and maintain strict vigilance over illegal commercialization activities in these areas.
FDA directed to provide immediate relief to applicants

FAISALABAD, Oct 01 (APP): Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has directed the officers and staff concerned to provide immediate relief to applicants regarding issues pertaining to Katchi Abadis and maintain strict vigilance over illegal commercialization activities in these areas.
He instructed that prompt departmental action be taken against any violations to protect citizens’ rights and ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.
He issued these directives while hearing citizens’ issues and complaints under the Government of Punjab’s Open Door Policy.
Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind, Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Director IT Yasar Ejaz Chattha, Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin, Director Estate Management Junaid Hassan Manj, Deputy Director Katchi Abadis Afzal Ansari, and other concerned officers were also present.
DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry listened in detail to individual complaints, applications and problems faced by citizens and issued necessary on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officers for their immediate resolution.
He directed that citizens be provided relief strictly on merit and in accordance with rules and regulations, while avoiding unnecessary delays and procedural complications in official matters.
He particularly emphasized expediting the implementation of court decrees and the registration of inheritance-based property transfers so that applicants do not face unjustified delays.
The DG FDA further directed that the ongoing operation against illegal housing schemes be made more effective and result-oriented.
He stated that strict legal and departmental action must be taken against illegal constructions, encroachments and land-grabbing elements.
He instructed Estate Management officers to promptly address citizens’ complaints regarding encroachments and directed the relevant departments to continue coordinated and responsible efforts to curb illegal activities.
He also directed the Additional Director General FDA to regularly review departmental action on citizens’ applications and monitor progress in resolving their issues.
He emphasized that negligence and dishonesty on the part of staff must be dealt with immediately and accountability ensured.
While interacting with the applicants, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry reaffirmed that the timely provision of relief to citizens, transparency and prompt resolution of public complaints are among the FDA’s foremost priorities.
He said the purpose of direct public hearings under the Open Door Policy is to bring citizens’ problems before the concerned officers, accelerate their resolution and further improve the authority’s performance.
On the occasion, citizens appreciated DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry for attentively and effectively listening to their complaints, issuing immediate directives and taking measures to provide relief and expressed their gratitude to him.
