FAISALABAD, Feb 25 (APP):Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has ordered for accelerating the revenue recovery pace, directing the FDA officials to take stern action against long-standing defaulters to ensure collection of arrears and seal properties in cases of non-payment.
He instructed Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind to strictly monitor the recovery campaign, review revenue targets on a daily basis, and initiate disciplinary action against negligent staff.
In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind, attended by Director of Town Planning Asma Mohsin, Director of Estate Management Junaid Hassan Manj, Deputy Director of Finance Afzal Ansari, Deputy Director of Estate Management (FDA City) Adnan Shahzad, Assistant Director Recoveries Mian Akhtar, and other officials.
During meeting, Additional Director General reviewed the recovery of dues across various heads and emphasized that collecting arrears from chronic defaulters must be a priority, requiring a comprehensive and solid strategy.
He directed that special attention be given to collecting fines imposed for illegal developments in housing schemes while operations against illegal commercialization should also be intensified and the properties of those failing to pay commercialization fees be sealed.
He warned that departmental action would be taken against those showing unsatisfactory performance in the recovery campaign, with negative remarks entered into their annual performance reports while the staff who successfully meets their revenue targets will be fully encouraged and rewarded.
