FDA collects Rs 1.0294bln during FY 2025-26

The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) collected Rs. 1.0294 billion in various dues during the fiscal year 2025–26 as a result of an effective recovery campaign, reflecting a significant improvement in the Authority’s financial performance.

FAISALABAD, Jul 01 (APP):The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) collected Rs. 1.0294 billion in various dues during the fiscal year 2025–26 as a result of an effective recovery campaign, reflecting a significant improvement in the Authority’s financial performance.
This was disclosed during a meeting convened on the directions of Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry to review the recovery performance and annual achievements for the fiscal year 2025–26.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind, with officers from various departments in attendance.
The meeting was informed that, of the total recoveries, Rs. 734.00 million was collected from the non-development sector, while Rs. 295.4 million was recovered from the development sector.
These recoveries represent a substantial increase compared to the previous fiscal year.
The meeting was further informed that the recovered amount included development charges for housing schemes, building plan approval fees, payments received from plots sold through public auction, plot transfer fees, commercialization charges, land conversion fees, fines imposed on illegal constructions, ownership certificate fees, fees for the issuance of Town Planning (TP) reports, and various other charges.
Expressing satisfaction over the annual recovery performance, Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind said that effective monitoring and continuous follow-up of revenue collection had produced encouraging results.
He emphasized that a comprehensive and effective strategy would be essential to further enhance the Authority’s revenue sources during the next fiscal year.
He directed the concerned officers to utilize all available resources to achieve the revenue targets, ensure the timely recovery of outstanding dues under all circumstances, and stated that no negligence or laxity in achieving the prescribed targets would be tolerated.
