FCCI President welcomes appointment of Imran Sarwar as NBP Chief
FAISALABAD, Sep 05 (APP):President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Farooq Yousaf Sheikh has welcomed the appointment of seasoned banker Imran Sarwar as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the FCCI president said Sarwar brought over 27 years of extensive experience in banking, corporate strategy and risk management.
Farooq Yousaf Sheikh expressed confidence that Sarwar’s vast domestic and international commercial banking experience would help steer the state-owned financial institution towards new heights.
He also extended an invitation to the newly appointed NBP president and CEO to visit the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The FCCI president said close collaboration between Pakistan’s financial institutions and the business community in Faisalabad could play an important role in strengthening the country’s economic landscape and promoting sustainable national growth.
He hoped that the new NBP leadership would further enhance cooperation with the business community and facilitate the private sector in its efforts to contribute to economic development
