FAISALABAD, Sep 01 (APP):Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) and Pakistan Council of Research

in Water Resources (PCRWR) have agreed to establish a formal mechanism for technical

cooperation to address drinking water, wastewater and rainwater-related challenges and

in this connection, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would soon be signed.

FCCI President Farooq Yousuf Sheikh visited the PCRWR laboratory and reviewed

the facilities and technical services available for water quality testing and research.

During the visit, PCRWR District Officer Tajammal Hussain Langrial briefed the chamber

president about the role, functions and ongoing activities of PCRWR particularly its

efforts for addressing water-related challenges through scientific research and technical

expertise.

The FCCI Chief appreciated technical capabilities of the institution and emphasized

the importance of strengthening coordination between the business community and

research organizations.

It was agreed that PCRWR experts would provide technical assistance to Faisalabad

Chamber in addressing the issues related to drinking water, wastewater and rainwater

management.

During meeting, both sides agreed to organize a formal ceremony shortly for signing

MoU between FCCI and PCRWR.

The proposed agreement would provide a structured framework for cooperation between

the two institutions particularly in the areas involving water quality, technical consultation,

research and possible solutions to water management issues, a spokesman of PCRWR

said here on Tuesday.
