Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has formally unveiled the election schedule for 2026-28 term and constituted a three-member Election Commission headed by former chamber presidents.

FAISALABAD, Jul 15 (APP): Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has formally unveiled the election schedule for 2026-28 term and constituted a three-member Election Commission headed by former chamber presidents.
according to FCCI spokesman, the election schedule and formation of the Election Commission comprising former FCCI presidents Muzzamil Sultan, Atif Munir and Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz were approved during a meeting of the Executive Committee chaired by FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh.
According to the notified schedule, FCCI members may submit requests to the Secretary General for any amendments to the provisional voter list by July 18 and the provisional list will be displayed on chamber’s notice board on July 22 while objections against the list can be filed by July 29, 2026.
FCCI Secretary General will communicate decisions on objections by August 03 while the aggrieved members may file appeals before the election commission by August 06 and the election commission will decide all such appeals by August 10.
Any further appeal against the commission’s decision may be submitted to the regulator by August 13 whereas its decisions would be announced by August 24, 2026.
The final voter list will be displayed on the FCCI notice board on August 26, 2026.
The eligible voters intending to contest the Executive Committee elections will be able to submit nomination papers by August 31. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on September 01 and the list of valid candidates will be issued on the same day after completion of the scrutiny process.
The polling for Corporate Class seats will take place on September 21 followed by polling for the Associate Class seats on September 22, 2026. Vote counting will commence immediately after polling and provisional results will be announced without delay.
The members elected for the Executive Committee will be eligible to file nomination papers for the offices of President, Senior Vice President and Vice President by September 25 while scrutiny of nominations for these offices will also be conducted on the same day.
The polling for the office-bearers will be held on September 28 while the newly elected President, Senior Vice President, Vice President and Executive Committee members will be announced formally during Chamber’s Annual General Meeting on September 30, 2026.
