ISLAMABAD, Nov 24 (APP):The export of sport goods from the country witnessed an increase of 17.74 percent during the first four months of the current financial year (2025-26) as compared to the export of corresponding months of last year.
The country exported sport goods worth US$ 147.682 million during July-October (2025-26) as opposed to the export of US$ 125.427 million during July-October (2024-25), showing growth of 17.74 percent, according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Among the sports products, the exports of footballs rose by 26.67 percent, surging from US$ 74.557 million last year to US$ 94.441 million during the current year.
The gloves exports, however decreased by 9.18 percent, declining from US$ 21.758 million last year to US$ 17.760 million during the current year, the PBS data revealed.
Likewise, the exports of all other sports goods surged by 15.01 percent to US$ 33.481 million from US$ 29.112 million last year.
Meanwhile, on a year-on-year basis, the sports goods export witnessed an increase of 13.58 percent in October 2025 as opposed to the export same month last year.
The sports goods exports in October 2025 were recorded at US$ 36.734 million against exports of US$ 32.341 million in October 2024.
During the month, the export of footballs and all other sports products witnessed an increase of 25.85 and 8.67 percent respectively whereas the export of gloves decreased by 17.16 percent.
Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, the exports of sports goods witnessed an increase of 2.87 percent during October 2025, in contrast to the exports of US$ 35.709 million in September 2025, the PBS data revealed.
On a month-on-month basis, the exports of footballs and gloves increased by 0.45 and 14.16 percent while the exports of other sport product rose by 3.61 percent.
