EAD directed to ensure payment of maturing Euro bond of 2006

ISLAMABAD, Mar 31 (APP): Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar Sunday said that the finance ministry has asked the State Bank of Pakistan to retire US$500 Euro bond floated in 2006. Talking to mediamen here, the finance minister said that the bond has matured on March 31, so the finance ministry has issued authorization to SBP for repayment. It is pertinent to mention here that the bond was issuedduring the Pervez Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz led regime.
