PESHAWAR, Oct 09 (APP):Director General (DG), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tariq Ali Khan, along with Deputy Director Climate Change and Deputy Director R&D, EPA KP, participated in a high-level meeting with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination regarding matters related to the import of different types of waste and scrap from the European Union (EU), said a press release issued here on Friday.
The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of Environmental Protection Agencies from across the country, where relevant data, regulatory perspectives, and field-level insights were shared. Representatives of the Ministry also provided valuable input regarding the matter and discussed future coordination mechanisms.
The meeting provided a constructive platform for exchange of information, strengthening inter-provincial coordination, and ensuring effective environmental oversight regarding waste management and regulatory compliance.
It said EPA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains committed to sustainable waste management practices, environmental protection, and coordinated efforts with federal and provincial institutions for safeguarding the environment.
