ISLAMABAD, Aug 25 (APP):The export of cement from the country witnessed an increase of 9.58 per cent during the first month of the current financial year (2026-27) as compared to the exports of the same month last year.
The country exported cement worth US$38.212 million during July 2026 as opposed to the export of US$34.870 million during July 2025, showing a growth of 9.58 percent, according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
In terms of quantity, the cement exports also rose by 11.96 per cent from 640,198 metric tons to 985,180 metric tons, the data revealed.
Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, cement exports increased by 42.87 per cent during July 2026, in contrast to the exports of US$26.746 million in June 2026, the PBS data revealed.
It is pertinent to mention here that the overall exports from the country increased by 9.54 per cent during the month under review as compared to the previous year, the data revealed.
Exports during July 2026 were recorded at $2.939 billion against $2.683 billion during July 2025.
On the other hand, imports into the country also went up by 17.99 per cent growing from $5.837 billion last year to $6.887 billion during July 2026.
