LAHORE, Feb 28 (APP):Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Saturday express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces against incursions and aggression from Afghanistan.
In a press conference here at Lahore Chamber, the LCCI office-bearers said that no compromise on national security is acceptable and the entire business community stands shoulder to shoulder with the brave armed forces. They added that Afghan territory should not be used for any terrorism or aggression against Pakistan, which is our clear demand.
LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol said, Pakistan Army has inflicted heavy losses on the enemy, targeting 15 terrorist sectors and 53 points, destroying 115 tanks and armored vehicles. He paid tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces, saying their sacrifices make the nation proud. He also said that India is behind Afghanistan and the business community stands with the Field Marshal and the heads of all three armed forces.
Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh said that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation and has never shown aggression but will not allow any threat to its integrity and sovereignty. He said that when the people and armed forces of Pakistan unite, every enemy can be defeated.
Vice President Khurram Lodhi said that recent terrorism and Afghan forces’ attacks had foreign support and most attacks were connected to Afghanistan.
Executive Committee members Shauban Akhtar, Syed Salman Ali, Firdous Nisar, Rana Muhammad Nisar, Ahad Amin Malik, Sheikh Muhammad Fayyaz, Aamir Ali, and Mohsin Chaudhry were also present and expressed full solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol sent a message to the international community that Pakistan stands with its armed forces and that terrorism has no religion or border. Under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, he said, the recent operation proves the defense of Pakistan’s honor and sovereignty.
He said that after the 1979 Soviet invasion, Pakistan hosted over four million Afghan refugees, providing them shelter, education, health, and employment. Unfortunately, Afghanistan gave shelter to terrorists and participated in conspiracies against Pakistan.
He urged the business community that through unity, stability, and discipline, every enemy plan can be defeated. Strong defense and strong economy are interdependent. Peace will bring investment, industry will grow, and youth will get jobs. Ending terrorism is not only a security matter but also the basis for economic recovery.
LCCI President announced that Lahore Chamber fully supports every national step of the Pakistan Armed Forces and stands with the families of martyrs, injured soldiers, and every soldier who is standing for Pakistan’s flag.
He concluded by praying that Allah raises the ranks of the martyrs, grants more success to the armed forces, and makes Pakistan always a land of peace and security.
