KARACHI, Oct 14 (APP): The British Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, Ms. Belinda Lewis, here on Friday visited the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
She started the business activities by participating in the
‘gong’ ceremony (Ringing the bell).
In her remarks on the occasion, the British Deputy High
Commissioner said that Islamic financing was progressing quite rapidly and that the British investors are also evincing keen interest.
She pointed out that both Britain and Pakistan are determined to promote the economic ties as well as investment.
Ms. Belinda Lewis remarked that the progress of Pakistan Stock Exchange was also attractive for the British investors.
She further stated that the confidence of the foreign investors has increased on the economy of Pakistan which is an important step.
During the visit Ms. Belinda Lewis exchanged views with the
members of the Board of Pakistan Stock Exchange.
