Banks to remain closed on Friday

KARACHI, Apr 28 (APP):The State Bank of Pakistan, all commercial banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Friday, May 1, on the occasion of Labour Day.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 1, 2026 (Friday) being a public holiday on the occasion of Labour Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan”, the central bank announced in a statement.

Subsequently, all banks, Micro Finance Banks and Development Finance Institutions will remain closed on Friday on the account of the Labour Day.
