Finance Ministry releases Rs. 4b for FATA: Finance Minister

ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (APP):State Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan has said that annual second quarter development fund to Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) amounting Rs. 4 billion
has been released on January 2, 2018.
Responding to a Calling Attention Notice in the Senate regarding delay in issuance of this fund,
the minister said that an amount of Rs. 4.8 billion was released for FATA in the first quarter but report regarding utilization of this fund was not submitted.
He said that concerned authorities contacted the Ministry in December, 2017 and an amount of
Rs. 1.8 billion was not utilized so far.
