Reduction in electricity tariff for agri tubewell reduced to Rs. 5.35 per unit: Dar

ISLAMABAD, Jun 3 (APP): Minister for Finance and Revenue,
Senator Ishaq Dar on Friday announced reduction in electricity tariff for agriculture tubewells from current off peak rate of Rs.8.85 per unit to Rs. 5.35 per unit.

In his budget speech from National Assembly here, he said this concession would be applicable from July 1, 2016.
He said for this special concession, the government would bear expenses of around Rs. 27 billion.
