Spoiled Chicken supply foiled

QUETTA, Jul 22 (APP): The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) on Wednesday exposed a mafia involved in the supply of substandard chicken meat, thwarting their attempt through a timely operation at Quetta Airport Road.
Acting on a secret tip-off, the Food Safety Team led by Director Operations, Fakhruddin Mari raided a passenger bus bearing registration number BSB-743 arriving from Multan and recovered large quantity of spoiled chicken meat which was later spoiled. According to officials, the meat was being transported under extremely unhygienic conditions and was intended for supply to hotels, restaurants, and other food outlets.
Director Operations Mari said that the BFA maintained a zero-tolerance policy against unsafe and substandard food, stressing that public health could not be compromised. He urged citizens to exercise caution when purchasing chicken, advising them to ensure slaughter and cutting in front of them to prevent the sale of unhygienic or spoiled meat.
