Security sources said Pakistani forces swiftly responded to the provocative fire by the Afghan Taliban along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Pakistani forces targeted posts being used by the Afghan Taliban, employing mortar fire and quadcopters, the sources said.
The sources said that Pakistan’s security forces remain prepared to respond to any attempted infiltration or cross-border attack originating from Afghan territory.
