QESCO disconnects several illegal connection of power in Sariab area during operation
QUETTA, Jul 13 (APP):Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) continued its campaign against electricity theft and took action against illegal electricity users during a successful operation in the areas of Killi Gulzar, Khulai of Kirani Sub-Division.
According to Chairman-in-Charge Syed Khalid Shah, on the instructions of Superintending Engineer (SE) Central Circle Abdullah Shah Agha and Xen Sariab Division Bangul Khan Marri, a joint operation was conducted against electricity theft under the leadership of SDO Kirani Sub-Division Engineer Hassan Raza (Batch 18) along with Chairman-in-Charge Khalid Shah and a police contingent.
During the operation, electricity theft was identified at various places and illegal connections were disconnected and legal action was initiated against the responsible persons.
QESCO officials said that electricity theft is tantamount to damaging national resources and indiscriminate actions would continue to prevent it.
He clarified that where there is power theft or non-payment of dues, power supply would not be maintained and action would be taken against the concerned persons as per the law.
The authorities appealed to the consumers to pay their electricity bills on time, avoid illegal connections and cooperate with QESCO in preventing power theft so that better and uninterrupted power supply could be ensured to all the consumers.
