QUETTA, Aug 19 (APP):An Interfaith Harmony and Muslim Unity Conference was held here on Wednesday with the participation of Deputy Inspector General of  Police Quetta Imran Shoukat, Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Meharullah Badini, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Zia-ul-Haq Mandokhail, SSP Traffic Muhammad Baloch, scholars, traders, and representatives of various schools of thought.
The conference focused on security and traffic arrangements for the upcoming 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, alongside discussions on promoting Muslim unity, interfaith harmony, religious tolerance, and peace.
Deputy Inspector General Police, Imran Shoukat emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property and the maintenance of peace are the police’s foremost priorities. He assured that foolproof security arrangements would be implemented for all religious gatherings and processions.
Deputy Commissioner Meharullah Badini highlighted that the district administration would ensure effective coordination with all institutions, scholars, traders, and community representatives to guarantee smooth arrangements.
SSP Operations Zia-ul-Haq Mandokhail and SSP Traffic Muhammad Baloch briefed participants on the security and traffic management plans, explaining measures to maintain traffic flow during processions and gatherings.
Scholars, traders, and representatives of different sects pledged full cooperation with police and administration, reaffirming their commitment to promoting peace, tolerance, and unity.
The participants resolved that 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal would be observed in an atmosphere of brotherhood, harmony, and respect, with joint efforts to ensure lasting peace in Quetta.
