QUETTA, Sep 27 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan Muhammad Tahir inaugurated the newly established Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) office in Jungle Pir Alizai, District Qila Abdullah, during his official visit on Sunday.
The IGP was accompanied by DIG CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya, Deputy Commissioner Munawar Hussain Magsi, District Police Officer Khalil Ahmed Bugti, and other senior officers. He inspected various sections of the new CTD office and received a detailed briefing from DIG CTD Aitzaz Goraya regarding its operational capacity.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Tahir highlighted that under the guidance of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, all available resources are being provided to strengthen security measures and counter terrorism effectively. He said the establishment of the CTD office will enhance the department’s operational efficiency and improve the effectiveness of counter-terrorism actions in the region.
The IGP also visited Saranan Police Station, where he met with deployed personnel, listened to their concerns and suggestions, and praised their dedication. He directed officers to maintain a people-friendly attitude towards citizens while dealing firmly with anti-peace elements. He commended the hard work, resilience, and morale of the police force, assuring continued support for their professional responsibilities.
