IGP emphasizes modern policing in Balochistan

QUETTA, Jul 17 (APP): Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, has stressed the importance of adopting modern policing practices to provide swift relief to citizens and strengthen the positive image of the police force. He noted that enhancing the sense of security among the public is vital for building trust and ensuring timely justice.
Speaking at an introductory meeting at the Central Police Office for newly appointed Deputy Superintendents of Police recruited directly through the Balochistan Public Service Commission, the IG highlighted the responsibility of supervisory officers in ensuring effective performance at the subordinate level.
He said that when officers fulfill their command role efficiently, citizens can receive justice promptly and their grievances can be addressed without delay.
Muhammad Tahir emphasized that under the framework of smart and community policing, all available resources should be utilized to provide quality services and eliminate crime. He underscored that timely action is essential to fulfilling police duties and preventing criminal activity.
During the session, participating officers reaffirmed their dedication to serving citizens, safeguarding lives and property, and upholding the rule of law. Senior officials including DIG Headquarters Hassan Asad Alvi and DIG Quetta Imran Shoukat were also present at the meeting.
