QUETTA, Jun 27 (APP): The Regional Meteorological Center has forecast very hot and mostly dry weather across most districts, with rain-wind/thunderstorms expected in several areas over the next 48–72 hours.
According to the Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) Quetta, maximum temperatures were recorded at Nokkundi (45.5°C) and Dalbandin (44.0°C), while the lowest was in Kalat (33.0°C). Other districts reported high temperatures, including Panjgur (39.0°C), Uthal (39.0°C), Khuzdar (36.5°C), Zhob (34.5°C), Pasni (34.0°C), Quetta (38.0°C), Gwadar (32.5°C), Jiwani (33.5°C), Ormara (33.0°C), Sariab (35.5°C), Quetta RMC (36.0°C), Samungli (37.5°C), and Barkan (36.0°C).
The RMC forecast rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Khuzdar, Barkan, Rakni, Panjgur, Zhob, Sherani, Musakhail, Ziarat, Kohlu, Duki, Harnai, and Loralai.
Light rain or drizzle accompanied by gusty winds is also expected in Killa Saifullah, Kech, Awaran, Quetta, and Mastung. Dust-blowing gusts are likely in northwestern parts of the province, while partly cloudy to cloudy weather is forecast along the coastal belt.
The authority has advised district administrations to remain alert and take precautionary measures, particularly in vulnerable areas, to mitigate risks associated with thunderstorms, heavy winds, and dust storms.
