Governor Mandokhail calls Christian community rally milestone for PML-N unity

QUETTA, Sep 26 (APP): Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has termed the Christian community’s rally, led by former federal minister Khalil George, as an important milestone for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), reflecting the party’s renewed unity and dynamism.

Addressing the large-scale gathering in Quetta, the governor congratulated Khalil George and the Christian community for organizing the event, noting the enthusiastic reception he received upon arrival. He said the PML-N is the party that played a historic role in the creation of Pakistan, adding: “The national flag once held by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is today carried by PML-N leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.”

Jaffar Mandokhail praised the current leadership for steering the country out of economic crisis and averting default. He highlighted the role of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, and other national leaders in advancing a successful foreign policy that contributed to peace and stability in the region. He specifically mentioned Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States, saying effective diplomacy has enhanced Pakistan’s global standing.

The governor further said that in the interest of national and provincial harmony, the PML-N allowed the Pakistan Peoples Party to form the government in Balochistan despite having the required numbers itself. “This decision was taken in the broader context of national and provincial interest,” he explained.

Jaffar Mandokhail assured that the PML-N will continue to safeguard the rights of the Christian community, acknowledging their contributions in education, health, and national development since Pakistan’s inception.
