Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Tuesday said that effective monitoring mechanisms and digitalization are indispensable for improving the performance of institutions and departments.

QUETTA, Apr 01 (APP):Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Tuesday said that effective monitoring mechanisms and digitalization are indispensable for improving the performance of institutions and departments.

He expressed these views while talking to the Acting Central Ameer of Ahle Hadith Pakistan Dr Ali Muhammad Abu Turab and other delegations at the Governor House Quetta.

The Governor said that the officers of all government institutions and departments are not the rulers of the people but their servants, to ensure a transparent, accountable and integrated system, it is necessary to increase the capacity of all government officers and employees and make them accountable to the people for performing their duties.

He said that it should be noted that until we modernize the procedures of all government institutions and departments and completely computerize the administrative structure, the people would continue to be entangled in various problems, the time has come for a change in behavior, now we would take strict practical steps to cleanse the institutions of bribery, nepotism and corruption so that the public’s trust in the institutions could be increased.

Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel said that effective monitoring mechanisms and digitalization are indispensable for improving the performance of institutions and departments.

He said that by automating the process and reducing human interaction, we could easily eliminate opportunities for negligence, bribery and corruption.

He said that ensuring transparency in all service sectors is very important, publishing budgeting, expenditure and decision-making processes online and especially holding government officials accountable to the public could provide a strong foundation for good governance.

Governor Mandokhel said that a large part of the total population of both Pakistan and Balochistan consists of youth, upholding meritocracy and transparency in government departments could help eliminate the feeling of deprivation and frustration among the youth.

It is certain that the youth of our province are extremely talented and patriotic, therefore it is important that we connect with our youth and include them in the decision-making process, he said and added that we can utilize their hidden talents and energies and make them contribute to building a better future.
