Sarfraz Bugti said teachers are not only transmitters of knowledge but also play a fundamental role in molding the personality, values, and thinking of children. He stressed that the government of Balochistan will continue efforts to safeguard the professional dignity of teachers, provide a conducive teaching environment, and empower educators to deliver quality education.
Chief Minister noted that the theme of this year’s World Teachers’ Day emphasizes standing with teachers and protecting the profession. He highlighted that over the past two years, more than 786,000 children have been brought into the education system, including 231,000 in 2025 and 281,000 so far in 2026.
Sarfraz Bugti said the Balochistan Education Foundation’s community schools have provided opportunities to 154,000 children, while the reactivation of non-functional schools enabled over 95,000 children to rejoin the education system. To strengthen teaching capacity, more than 15,000 teachers have been recruited on merit, and over 2,000 new schools have been established, with work underway on an additional 1,800.
