BRA holds meeting regarding revenue collection & tax compliance issues

QUETTA, Jun 29 (APP): Chairman of Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) on Monday chaired a meeting regarding revenue collection and tax compliance issues from the Hub area.

The meeting was attended by the concerned officers.

During the meeting, a detailed review was taken of the progress made in revenue collection, registration, return filing, collection of dues, enforcement measures and expansion of the tax net in the Hub region.

On this occasion, the tax compliance status of various industrial and commercial entities, the challenges being faced and effective strategies for increasing revenue were also considered.

The Chairman directed the concerned officers to further expedite steps to bring unregistered service providers and business entities into the tax net, make legal action against non-filers effective and recover dues on time.

He also emphasized that voluntary tax compliance should be promoted through facilitation of taxpayers, transparency and effective use of digital systems.

The meeting reiterated the commitment that the Balochistan Revenue Authority will further intensify its efforts in achieving revenue targets in the Hub region, effective implementation of tax laws, and increasing resources for the sustainable development of the province.
