Balochistan successfully auctions wheat stock in Zhob under transparent process

QUETTA, Jun 04 (APP): Acting on the directives of the Government of Balochistan, the open auction of wheat stocks at PRC Zhob was successfully completed in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations.
The auction was supervised by Chairman CMIT Committee Noor Muhammad Jogezai along with committee members, while flour dealers and representatives of flour mills actively participated in the bidding process.
During the auction, a total of 10,503 wheat bags were offered, including 7,470 bags of local wheat and 3,033 bags of Punjab wheat. The local wheat was auctioned at Rs. 8,630 per bag, while Punjab wheat fetched Rs. 10,250 per bag. The overall value of the auction stood at Rs. 95,554,350.
Among the bidders, Syed Asadullah emerged as the successful bidder, while other participants included Abdul Sadiq Flour Mill, Samiullah Flour Mill Quetta, and Naeem Shah Traders.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General Commodity Management Balochistan Shujaat Ali Khosa emphasized that the entire auction process was conducted with complete transparency, merit, and adherence to rules. He noted that ensuring transparency in the sale of government wheat stocks remains a top priority, with all stages carried out in the presence of the committee and bidders.
The auction proceedings also saw the online participation of Additional Deputy Commissioner Zhob Aurangzaib Kakar, while Deputy Director Agriculture Extension Quetta Jehanzaib Malghani and Deputy Director Commodity Management Balochistan Salahuddin were present.
Participants praised the transparent conduct of the auction, terming it a positive step in line with government policy.
