QUETTA, Jun 09 (APP): The Balochistan government has taken strict disciplinary action following the unfortunate incident in Wahdat Colony, suspending Under Secretary Aftab Jubal and driver Masood Ahmed of the Services and General Administration Department.
Assistant to the Chief Minister, Shahid Rind, confirmed that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti immediately took notice of the incident and directed authorities to proceed against the officials involved. A formal notification of suspension has since been issued.
Shahid Rind said that the provincial government is conducting a transparent, impartial, and merit-based inquiry into all aspects of the case. He assured that further legal and departmental action will be taken against those found responsible once the investigation concludes.
He emphasized that the Chief Minister has issued clear instructions that negligence, carelessness, or irresponsible behavior by government officers and staff will not be tolerated. Protecting the lives, property, and rights of citizens remains the government’s foremost priority.
Shahid Rind added that the provincial administration firmly believes in the principles of rule of law, transparency, and accountability, and any individuals found guilty of misconduct will be held answerable under the law.
The Chief Minister has directed relevant authorities to submit a comprehensive report on the incident at the earliest, ensuring that all facts are reviewed before further measures are taken.
