Balochistan Food Authority foils attempt to supply 300kg of spoiled chicken in Kuchlak

QUETTA, Jul 20 (APP): The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) successfully intercepted an attempt to supply 300 kilograms of rotten and hazardous chicken meat late Sunday night, preventing it from reaching the market and endangering public health.

According to BFA Spokesperson, the operation was carried out at Kuchlak Bypass on the directives of Director Operations after a tip-off was received. A passenger bus, bearing registration number BSC-217, was stopped and searched, leading to the recovery of the contaminated meat.

The joint action by Kuchlak Police and BFA teams ensured that the foul-smelling meat was seized before distribution. Authorities confirmed that the confiscated meat was later destroyed, while legal proceedings against those responsible have been initiated.

The special operation continued until 1 AM, with BFA teams remaining active to safeguard public health. Officials reiterated the Authority’s uncompromising stance, declaring: “The supply and sale of unsafe food will not be tolerated under any circumstances.”

The BFA emphasized its zero-tolerance policy against unsafe food practices, pledging to continue indiscriminate operations across the province under the slogan: “Safe Food, Healthy Balochistan.”
