QUETTA, Oct 06 (APP):An awareness session regarding the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) scholarships was held in Kalat district, following special directives from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday.
The session was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kalat, Engineer Ayesha Zehri and it was attended by officials from the Education Department (Kalat and Khaliqabad), principals of various colleges, school headmasters and headmistresses, and a large number of students.
During the session, the BEEF team from Quetta briefed the Deputy Commissioner and Education Department officials via video link on the number of students in Kalat district who have benefited from BEEF scholarships over the past decade, as well as details regarding district toppers and the scholarships themselves.
The BEEF team provided detailed information to the students regarding scholarship criteria, the application submission process, eligibility requirements, quotas reserved for minorities and persons with disabilities, and other key aspects of the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kalat, Engineer Ayesha Zehri said that education guarantees a bright future for the younger generation, and the Government of Balochistan is providing every possible facility to help deserving and talented students pursue higher education.
She said that the objective of the BEEF scholarship program is to provide educational opportunities to talented students who might otherwise be deprived of education due to financial constraints.
She urged students to familiarize themselves with the scholarship criteria and application procedures and to submit their applications on time, ensuring that the maximum number of deserving students could benefit from this facility.
She stressed Education Department officials, teachers, and heads of educational institutions to raise significant awareness among students regarding BEEF scholarships and to guide them through the application process.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that students in the Kalat district possess immense potential, with access to educational opportunities and proper guidance, they could play a vital role in the development of the country and the province.
