Assistant of Chief Minister Balochistan for Political and Media Affairs Shahid Rind on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the passenger bus accident near Dana Sar, border area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

QUETTA, Jul 03 (APP): Assistant of Chief Minister Balochistan for Political and Media Affairs Shahid Rind on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the passenger bus accident near Dana Sar, border area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
He said that according to initial reports, about 40 people have died and 8 persons were injured in the accident so far. Shahid Rind said that as soon as the information about the accident was received, on the special directive of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, his staff officer Syed Amin immediately contacted the district administrations of the relevant districts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after which rescue and relief operations were launched.
The district administration, rescue agencies and relevant departments of both provinces are busy helping the affected people and providing immediate medical assistance to the injured.
He said that according to initial information, in addition to its passengers, the bus that was involved in the accident also had passengers from another passenger bus that had broken down, due to which there were more people in the vehicle than usual.
The Assistant Chief Minister said that the district administration and relevant officers are conducting a detailed examination of the causes of the accident, while the identification of the deceased, treatment of the injured and all possible assistance to the affected families are being ensured.
Shahid Rind said that the Balochistan government shares the grief of the families of the deceased in this tragic incident and expresses its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to them.
He prayed for early recovery of the injured and said that the government would provide all possible assistance to the affected families and the facts to be brought to the public after a complete investigation of the accident.
