Attorney-General meets with UNO Delegation

ISLAMABAD May 11 (APP): The Attorney-General for Pakistan Ashtar Ausaf Ali on Wednesday met a delegation of United Nations representatives in connection with the government’s Treaty Implementation Cell (TIC).
The UN delegation led by Resident Coordinator Neil Buhn was included, International Labour Organization head Igrid Christensen along with ILO’s Belinda Chanda and Saad Gilani, UNWOMEN representative Jamshed Kazi, UNDP’s Ms Tracy Vienings, UNICEF’s Sarah Coleman, UNODC’s Senior Program Officer Syed Arslan, Fareena Mazhar, Joint Secretary, Commerce, Ahmed Fasih, Deputy Secretary Commerce, and Asad Rahim Khan, Consultant to the Attorney-General.
The Attorney-General reiterated that the TIC was at the forefront of fulfilling Pakistan’s international obligations, but that a multifaceted approach required taking the TIC to the next level, a press release here stated.
