PTI Chief to materialize his promise regarding empowerment of LG bodies: Amir Rehman

SWABI, Oct 25 (APP): District Nazim and Awami National Party Swabi
President Amir Rahman on Sunday suggested Pakistan Tehrik Insaaf Chief Imran Khan to materialize his promises regarding empowering of Local Government bodies.
In a press statement issued here, Amir Rahman said that they having no
any intentions to disgrace Imran Khan or create hurdles in his political activities.
He said that being as political worker the ANP workers are bound to
respect all politicians including Imran Khan and continue efforts for political goals through peaceful and political means.
Amir Rahman reminded that not only components of Democratic Alliance
Swabi but even elected representatives of Local Government bodies from all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa demanding rights and powers.
Before completion of Local Government elections, PTI Chairman Imran Khan
and his party other colleagues have time and again accredited themselves of empowering Local Government institutions. But now all elected representatives including District, Town Nazims and Naib Nazims are lacking powers and authorities.
He said that PTI Chairman must direct Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government,
especially Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to transfer due powers and authorities to local government institutions, its office holders and councilors.
Amir Rahman said that since completion of Local Government election
process, elected councilors from all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are showing resentment over lacking of powers, rules of business and due status of their respective forums.
He said that PTI leaders must realize their responsibilities at this
stage otherwise these elected representatives could become united for their due rights and powers which may be harmful.
