LB polls activates reach at climax in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, Oct 27 (APP): The activities for local bodies
polls have reached at its climax as three days are left for
polling day to be held on October 31 in the district.
According to ECP authorities, there are 346 Union Councils
with 122 Wards in 7 Municipal Committees of district Faisalabad.
The total number of registered voters is 3,944,545. The process
of ballot papers printing has already been completed with printing
7,638,842 ballot papers.
In district council, there are 189 Union Councils and chairmen
and vice chairmen of two Union Councils have been elected unopposed
along with 105 general councilors while 2,104,372 voters will exercise
their right to vote for the remaining Union Councils.
Maximum voters are in Union Council No.185 Chak No.117-JB
Dhanola where the number of voters is 21,397 while minimum voters
are reported from Union Council No.99 Chak No.558-GB that has
only 7371 voters.
There are 157 Union Councils in Municipal Corporation (Urban area)
with 1,558,991 voters. The election has been postponed in one Union
Council due to death of a candidate while out of 942 General Councilors,
32 have already been declared successful unopposed.
Union Council No.135 of Municipal Corporation has maximum voters
with a number of 17,308. On the other hand, minimum voters 5077 are
in Union Council No.122 (Kausar Abad).
The biggest Municipal Committee is Jaranwala with maximum wards
of 30 while the minimum wards are for Municipal Committee Dijkot
which are 11.
